The Executive committee of the Mauritanian football federation has opted to part company with their Under-20 national selection trainer Mauril Njoya.
The Cameroon was informed about the decision on Saturday after a careful deliberation during the committee meeting.
After taking stock of the participation of the national youth teams, the Executive Committee took the following decisions:
End the functions of the staff of the U-20 and U-17 national teams
Provisionally entrust the management of the national U-20 and U-17 selections to the National Technical Department pending the appointment of new staffs.
Njoya was named coach of the Under-20 Moribitons of Mauritania late last year but faield to guide the team out of the group stages of the maiden appearance in the competition.
Gerard Buscher has been named temporal trainer of the team while waiting to name the full staff to be named in the days ahead. A procedure has been opened for applications for the vacant positions.
