PWD social club of Bamenda will play Dragon of Yaoundé for the very first time, when the two sides meet on Sunday March 17, 2019, for one of day nine matches of the league one championship, at the YOSA center in mile six Nkwen. It will be a clash between a PWD side ranked 8th on the leagues table, against Dragon currently enjoying the second position in Pool A.

PWD is still chasing their second win of the season, which could be a giant step towards taking the Abakwa boys out of the danger zone.
Dragon on their part, is just two points shy of Pool A leaders, Union sportive of Douala, and a win for the cha cha cha boys away in Bamenda, might see them go top of the pool, given that the leaders, Union, is exempted from the 9 playing day.

PWD has struggled for form since the start of the season. The Abakwa Boys are winless since their 2#1 win over Apejes in Bamenda on the opening day of the championship, as they lineup defeats against Union, New stars and most recently against cotonsport. The Abakwa boys have also drawn three games, against Colombe and Avion, all in Bamenda, before the very recent one against TKC last Sunday.
PWD this season
Matches played: 7

Dragon has been in blistering form this season, winning 3 of their 7 matches (only Union has won more 4), suffering one defeat and accumulating three draws. The boys of Kome Max have also been vibrant infront of goal, scoring 13 times (joined top scoring team alongside cotonsport who have 13 goals also.), and conceding just seven goals.

Kongnyuy Jude has scored 60% of PWDs goal this season, and will certainly be the focal point for the Abakwa boys.
The centre back pairing of Burinyuy Derick Laiver and Joel Ondoua Boung justified their selection, with a solid performance against Tonnerre last Sunday and might be vital against a free scoring Dragon come Sunday.
Dragon’s Captain, Serge Ekollo Malolo is in the pick of his form, with five goals to his name already, and will need to be put under lock and key in Bamenda on Sunday, Just like his teammate, Jean Jude Etele who is on two goals.
The experience of Goalkeeper Haschou Kerrido, is a plus for Dragon as the Former Astres shot stopper is in search of his second clean sheet this season. He might be help in the mission, by the solid defensive pairing of Paul Stephane Bong, Serge Jonathan Bayi, and Thomas Peleg Djomiah.

Owen Mbeh Mikel of PWD has been nursing an injury since their game in Garoua, and is a doubt for PWD on Sunday. Also Coach Jean Baptiste Toguem has confirmed to that PWD’s captain, Divine Ngi mbe is suffering from malaria, and has not trained with the team since they return from Yaoundé, and will therefore not take part in the game against Dragon on Sunday. He also confirmed that left back Stanley Ekema has returned to the squad, after missing their last two away games.
