Fresh from holding defending champions Coton Sport to a 1-1 draw on Matchday three, Renaissance FC de Ngoumou will be back again for all three points when they lock horns with Dragon FC of Yaounde, a Centre derby.
The game counts for Matchday Four of the ongoing MTN Elite 1 football championship this Wednesday, March 30, at 1:30 pm at the Limbe Omnisport Stadium in what is expected to be a tough encounter with both teams gunning for all three points.
Renaissance FC is coming off an impressive game against Coton Sport where the team had to power from a goal down to pick a 1-1 draw against the defending champions. This is quite interesting after Coton had led for the majority of the encounter but the never-say-die attitude of Renaissance shuns through with the side going away with a valuable point.

In three outings so far in the League, Renaissance FC has picked up four points, (1W, 1D, 1L). Stretching back to the last football campaign, Renaissance’s points total is quite impressive as in eight games played, the team has gone away with 13 points from a possible 24 (4W 1D and 3L).
For Dragon of Yaounde, their bright start against UMS Loum on Matchday 1 (1-0 victory) was blighted by YAFOOT on Matchday two with the latter picking up a 2-1 victory at the Molyko Omnisport Stadium in Buea. The run of Dragon in the League going back to last football season is mixed with the side picking up just one win (1W 4D 4L).
Arthur Essale – Dragons’ go-to man
Arthur Essale will be the man to watch again in this encounter has been outstanding in the past two encounters for his side. Despite the side losing 2-1 against YAFOOT on day 2, Essale’s contribution could easily have won him the man-of-the-match award.
Most of the beautiful play for Dragon was coming from the middle of the park with Arthur Essale orchestrating things for the Cha Cha Boys. His beautiful combination and link-up play and eye for goal will be called upon if Dragon is to go away with all three points. And adding to his first goal in the League against UMS Loum, it will not be a surprise if he adds to his tally against Renaissance.
Denis Boris – Renaissance’s saviour again?
Having found the back of the net in a tough encounter against Coton Sport, Coach Jean Claude will be hoping that Denis Boris maintains his golden touch as he did in their last game. Having come from the bench, it was a strike at the 64th minute that rescued a point for Renaissance FC.
The substitution made by Coach Claude bringing in Denis Boris and his colleagues was a stroke of a genus with Renaissance going on to boss the game. Denis Boris had several chances in the game but the defence of Coton Sport proved a tough nut to crack. It is unclear if Coach Jean Claude will maintain his starting 11 or make some changes and hand the goalscorer a start in this game. Denis Boris will be knocking at the gaffer’s door for a starting place against Dragon.
