In-form Belgian Jupiler Pro League outfit FC Royal Antwerp have their brilliant run come to an end.
Though Cameroonian midfielder Martin Hlonga had another excellent performance in the game, Antwerp was second best to a brilliant Genk side.
The quick fire encounter had the first goal scored in the third minute after a great pass from Hlonga met K. Miyoshi.
Dylan Batubinsika put the host ahead barely five minutes into the game.
Nigerian forward Paul Onuachu scored twice in quick succession between the 18th and 23rd minute to make it 2-1 in favor of Genk at the break.
Bongonda scored the third for Genk in the 59th minute.
Congolese forward Dieumerci Mbokani made it 3-2 with a goal for Antwerp but Nigerian striker Cyriel Dessers sealed the win with a fourth goal in the 88th minute of the game.
Antwerp are on the fourth spot on the log, three points off Beerschot of Marius Noubissi.
Hlonga has scored twice and assisted two goals in 14 Jupiler Pro appearances this season.
Antwerp face Tottenham in the UEFA Europa League match-day six fixture on Thursday before returning home to host Club Brugge on Sunday.
