Premier League giant, Manchester United have confirmed the loan extension of Nigerian forward, Odion Jude Ighalo this Monday.
The loan contract which was due to end at the end of May has been extended by the club to continue his wonderful relationship, the club’s website said.
”Manchester United have reached agreement with Shanghai Greenland Shenhua to extend the loan deal for Odion Ighalo”.
”The Nigerian striker’s stay was initially due to end on 31 May but he will now remain with the Reds until 31January 2021, enabling him to build on an impressive start to life with the club he supported as a boy.”
Igaho’s dreams of staying with the English club longer looked gloomy after reports suggested his contract will not be extended.
His agent, Atta Aneke’s announcement about a possible agreement with the club brought back the possibility of the former Watford striker continuing his jolly ride with the Red Devils.
The Shanghai Greenland Shenhua striker has scored four goals in eight matches for United. Four of the goals come from matches he featured as a starter.
The new deal agreed by the two clubs will see the player stay in England till the January transfer window of 2021.
