Swedish top-flight giants Malmo have settled on signing
18-year old Cameroon international awaiting debut Junior Samuel Kotto from Cameroon elite talent producers APEJES of Mfou, kick442.com has learned.
The defender who has been invited to the senior national selection of Cameroon on not less than three occasions is considered a need by officials of Malmo who according to sportzglitz.net are currently talking terms with the player’s entourage.
The former Under-20 international enjoyed a brilliant debut season on the books of the Center Region outfit and in the top-flight Championship.
Coach Conceicao watched APEJES versus Panthere in Yaounde and was certainly impressed by Kotto’s input at the heart of the APEJES defense and so it has been with most scouts who watched the player include Malmo.
The goal scoring defender who scored four goals in 18 appearances this season for APEJES of Mfou was a part of the Cameroon Under-20 team that participated in the 2021 Under-20 AFCON tournament in Mauritania.
Malmo are second-seeded in this season’s Eliteserien League and are seven points off the peak of the log, largely because of their defensive problems this season which Kotto will certainly sort with ease.
Kotto has been a subject to tryouts for two weeks while negotiation of important details continue.
A switch to Europe will be massive for TAD Sports Academy and add to the long list of exports from APEJES of Mfou.
