Madagascar’s football federation President Raoul Arizaka is no where to be found, the country’s anti-corruption watchdog, Bianco, has asked for help to track him down.
The anti-corruption watchdog has published a statement reading “Where is Raoul Arizaka Rabekoto?” and given contact numbers for anyone who has any information on his whereabouts, to get in touch with them.
Bianco has been investigating the FA boss since February 17, 2020 in relation “to embezzlement arising from acts suspected of gross corruption committed with (local football club) CNAPS.”
Mr Raoul Arizaka is investigated in relation to “suspected embezzlement of several tens of billions of Ariary (several millions of US Dollars).”
Raoul failed to show up for a hearing over the accusations on February 20th at Bianco’s headquarters.
He is the former Director General of CNAPS.
Other suspects who are under investigation, were present at Bianco’s office and were interviewed.
The Malagasy anti-corruption watchdog also states that they had issued a travel ban out of the country on Mr Raoul Arizaka Rabekoto.
Mr Rabekoto has always denied any wrong doing and said he was ready to face justice.
According to Bianco’s statement, it is not clear whether Rabekoto is still in the country or not. Some rumours suggest that he has left the country already, why other sources maintain that he is still in Madagascar.
