Madagascar premier league,CFEM clubs have expressed their desire to resume hostilities after the current lockdown situation runs out in seven days time.
The Association of Elite Football Clubs in Madagascar held a meeting with officials of the Malagasy football federation at their base in Isoraka-Antananarivo and resolved to inform the federation of their desire to resume the Orange Pro League for the rest of the season.
The 12 clubs league one championship halted on the 22nd of March 2020 after the government ordered for the lockdown of the entire country as part of efforts to combat the spread of the CoronaVirus pandemic in the country.
Madagascar is one of the few countries in Africa without a fatality caused by the virus.
Last week the government announced they have found out the Covid-19 and have recorded a huge recovery rate so far.
The country has recorded 128 cases of infected persons so far with 92 recoveries zero deaths and no new case since April 28th.
Resumption in seven days will make the championship the first to resume on the continent at a time when three countries have abandoned their championships.
