An unfit Karl Toko Ekambi and his Olympic Lyonnais side still basking in European glory after having leapfrogged Italian giants Juventus of Turin last week, lost heavily to Paris Saint Germain via a one – five scoreline super kid Mbappe getting three of the five.

Martin Terrier scored at the 11 minute to make the game delicately poised. The goal gave Lyon a short lead before Kylian Mbappe equalised at the 14 minute to level matters up before the pose.

One minute after the hour mark, Paris Saint Germain was presented with a chance to add their tally from the spot with culprit F. Marcal given his matching orders. The penalty was initially converted by Brazilian superstar Neymar at the 64 minute.

It was a one sided affair from there on as Mbappe added two more and Pablo Sarabia equally got into the act with a goal of his own to complete the annihilation.

Paris Saint Germain needed the victory more given the immense pressure the men of coach Thomas Tuchel are under, after having received a beating away to Dortmund last week in the first leg round of 16 UCL game.

PSG awaits the winner of the game pitting St Etienne against Rennes today. The final of the French cup will be played on April 25.
