Veteran Cameroonian goalkeeper, Lukong Nelson Bongaman, 38 on the books of Congolese giants AS Vita Club has been handed a four match ban following comments he made towards a referee in a domestic league game in the DR Congo.
The disciplinary commission of the national football league (LINAFOOT) analysed violent scenes in Sunday’s clash pitting Vita Club to Saint Eloi Lupopo on Sunday and decided to suspend Lukong for four games.
The goalkeepers suspension rules him out of the rest of the games left in the first round of the championship and will only return to action in the domestic championship in January.
The former Kumbo Strikers,Mount Cameroon and Astres keeper is considered as one of the most humble players at the club having been around for 12 seasons and won multiple titles with the Kinshasa club.
