It was another weekend of club football for Cameroonian players across the globe, as they contributed one way or the other for their clubs. As others celebrated great wins for clubs, it was rather a weekend to forget for some, who felt short of Victory.
Devis Epassy takes OFI Crete to playoffs
29_year_old Cameroonian goalkeeper Devis Rogers Epassy Mboka, was phenomenal at goal for his Greek Super League side OFI Crete, as they beat Apollon Smirnis FC two nil, in a match day 26 action, to secure a place in the title playoffs. Goals from Praxitelis Vouros and Luiz Phellype in the second half, secured all three points for Crete with Epassy making some fine saves to keep Appolon at bay. It was Epassy’s seventh clean sheet of the season.
Epassy has played 18 out of the 26 league games for his club this season, as they finished the regular season sixth with 37 points, and will now take part in the title playoffs alongside Olympiacos, PAOK, AEK Athens, Aris and Panathinaikos FC.
Lamkel Ze wins MOTM as FK Khimki sinks further

25_year_old forward Didier Lamkel Zé, was one of the brightest stars in a disappointing game for FK Khimki, in match day 20 of the Russian premier league.
Ze scored twice and claim the Man Of The Match award, despite his side suffering a 2#3 defeat to Lokomotiv Moscow. The defeat means FK Khimki stays rock bottom of the league with just 14 points recorded from 20 games.
Lamkel Ze now has two goals in two games for FK Khimki, after joining the team from FC DAC 1904 Dunajská Streda.
Allan Nyom on target for Leganes

33_year_old right back Allan Romeo Nyom, scored one of the two goals for Leganes, as they defeated Mirandes two nil in match day 30 of the Spanish La Liga 2. Two goals in the first segment from Nyom in the 24th minute and a well taken 36th minute penalty from Jose Manuel Diaz was enough to win three points for the host. The win puts Leganes 13th in the league’s rankings with 40 points, six points short of the promotion playoff spot.
Onana Concedes two, but Ajax wins

Goalkeeper André Onana was at goal for Ajax Amsterdam, as they defeated RKC Waalwijk three goals to two, in match day 25 of the Eredivisie. Ivorian forward Sébastien Haller scored twice for Ajax, but goals from Michiel Kramer and Richard van der Venne for Waalwijk in the second half drew the game level, but Dušan Tadić’s late penalty ensured that Ajax claimed all three points, to stay top of the league with 60 points, two points ahead of second place PSV.
Zambo Anguissa returns as Napoli suffers defeat
Cameroonian midfielder André-Frank Zambo Anguissa, made a cameo for Napoli, as they suffered a zero one home defeat to AC Milan on Sunday. Olivier Giroud’s goal at the 49 minute, secured all three points for visiting Milan. Zambo Anguissa came in at the 82nd minute to replace Piotr Zielinski. It was Anguissa’s first game for Napoli since February 17, since he came off injured in their Europa league game against Barcelona at camp Nou.
Castelleto overpowers Oyongo

Cameroonian defender Jean Charles Castelleto played from start to finish, as his side Nantes defeated Montpellier 2#0. Another Cameroonian Oyongo Bitolo, started at Left Back for Montpellier, but made way at the 75th minute to Mihailo Ristic. Sunday’s win took Castelleto and Nantes into the top sixth of the French ligue 1.
Michael Ngadeu Solid again

Cameroon defender Michael Ngadeu-Ngadjui, was solid again, as his club KAA Gent defeated Zulte Waregem two goals to one. Ngadeu has been rock solid at the back for Gent, as they move up to the fight position with 52 points. Another Cameroonian, Franck Boya, played 64 minutes for Zulte Waregem in that game.
Njie Clinton features as Dynamo wins

Clinton Njie came one at the 65th minute for Dynamo Moscow, in their 2#0 win over Spartak Moscow, in match day 20 of the Russian premier league. It was the first game for Clinton Njie since returning from the Africa Cup of Nations.
Lionesses at Club
Ejangue beats Ajara in Italy

Some indomitable Lionesses were also in action over the weekend. In the Italian women’s Série A, Augustine Ejangue’s Pomigliano, edge Nchout Ajara’s Inter Milan one nil, in a match day 16 fixture. Despite the defeat, Inter Milan women’s stay fifth in the league’s rankings, while Ejangue’s Pomigliano climbed up to the seventh spot.

Still in the Italian women’s Série A, Cameroonian defender Marie Aurelle Awona, was in the starting XI for Napoli women, in their one all draw away at AC Milan.
