It was another weekend of club football for Cameroonian players across the globe, as they contributed one way or the other for their clubs. As others celebrated great wins for clubs, it was rather a weekend to forget for some, who felt short of Victory.

Devis Epassy takes OFI Crete to playoffs

29_year_old Cameroonian goalkeeper Devis Rogers Epassy Mboka, was phenomenal at goal for his Greek Super League side OFI Crete, as they beat Apollon Smirnis FC two nil, in a match day 26 action, to secure a place in the title playoffs. Goals from Praxitelis Vouros and Luiz Phellype in the second half, secured all three points for Crete with Epassy making some fine saves to keep Appolon at bay. It was Epassy’s seventh clean sheet of the season.

Epassy has played 18 out of the 26 league games for his club this season, as they finished the regular season sixth with 37 points, and will now take part in the title playoffs alongside Olympiacos, PAOK, AEK Athens, Aris and Panathinaikos FC.

Ze scored twice and claim the Man Of The Match award, despite his side suffering a 2#3 defeat to Lokomotiv Moscow. The defeat means FK Khimki stays rock bottom of the league with just 14 points recorded from 20 games.

Lamkel Ze now has two goals in two games for FK Khimki, after joining the team from FC DAC 1904 Dunajská Streda.

Onana Concedes two, but Ajax wins

André Onana was at goal for Ajax

Ivorian forward Sébastien Haller scored twice for Ajax, but goals from Michiel Kramer and Richard van der Venne for Waalwijk in the second half drew the game level, but Dušan Tadić’s late penalty ensured that Ajax claimed all three points, to stay top of the league with 60 points, two points ahead of second place PSV.
