The Indomitable Lions of Cameroon will leave Douala-Cameroon for Praia-Cape Verde this Wednesday afternoon ahead of their match-day five AFCON qualifiers game against Blue Sharks of Cape Verde on Friday, March 26 at the Praia Stade Cabo Verde.
26 players drafted for the current international break with the exception of Andre-Franck Zambo Anguissa will leave Cameroon at 2:30pm local time and are expected to touch down in Praia at 6pm.
The team will base at the VP Praia Hotel where they will continue their preparations for the game.
It is Cameroon’s third coming to the Islandic nation and of their previous stops in September 2008 and same month in 2012 the Lions won the first and lost the second game. The defeat in Cameroon’s last game in Praia is the only win for Cape Verde against Cameroon who can boast of three wins in five fixtures.
The five times African champions travel to Praia needing just a point to secure qualification for the AFCON as they lead group F with 10 points while Cape Verde are third-seeded with four points in four games.
Friday’s game kicks off at 3pm local time with both national teams to be without their French-based players.
