The Indomitable Lions of Cameroon have touched down in Praia Cape Verde ahead of their match-day five AFCON qualifiers game against Blue Sharks of Cape Verde on Friday afternoon.

It is Cameroon’s third coming to the Islandic nation and of their previous stops in September 2008 and same month in 2012 the Lions won the first and lost the second game. The defeat in Cameroon’s last game in Praia is the only win for Cape Verde against Cameroon who can boast of three wins in five fixtures.
The team will hold a training at 3pm local time this Thursday at the Praia Stade Cabo Verde.

The five times African champions travel to Praia needing just a point to secure qualification for the AFCON as they lead group F with 10 points while Cape Verde are third-seeded with four points in four games.
Friday’s game kicks off at 3pm local time with both national teams to be without their French-based players.
Cameroon needs a point from the fixture to reach another AFCON tournament though the five-times winners already secured qualification as host.
