The Indomitable Lions of Cameroon have touched down in Algiers- Algeria ahead of their return leg 2022 FIFA World playoff game against the Desert Foxes of Algeria.
27 boys retained by coach Rigobert Song arrived in the wee hours of this Monday on board a chartered flight and were recieved by president Samuel Eto’o and a handful of Algeria officials. The delegation immediately moved to their base in the Blida where they continue preparations.
It is the second coming to the North African nation for this generation of the Indomitable. In their previous stop for the same reason Toko Ekambi scored as they earned a 1-1 draw.
The team will hold a training session this Monday at the Mustapha Tchaker Stadium.
The five times African champions travel to Blida needing to win by more than a goal to reach the World cup finals.
Tuesday’s game kicks off at 7pm local time with both national teams to battle to reach the world cup finals again.
The winner of the tie will qualify for the 2022 FIFA World cup and earn over $12 millions as proceed.
Algeria go into the game with a one goal advantage thanks to a headed goal from Islam Slimani last Friday in Japoma.
