In the NWSL Cameroonian center back Estelle Laura Johnson was a starter for her side and lasted the entire game but could not help her side prevent a 3 nil defeat to Chicago Red Stars.Johnson returned to the team after watching last weekend’s defeat from the bench.
Sky Blue FC is in the bottom half of the table and needs to start claiming points and climbing up the table to avoid the troubles of being at the bottom of the table at the end of it all.
Unstoppable Lionesses Ajara made the difference for Valerenga;
The In-form forward Nchout Njoya Ajara registered her name score sheet in a 7 goals thriller on Saturday afternoon in her club’s day 16 encounter in the Norwegian league.
She scored her 9th league goal of the in the 70th minutes as Valerenga defeated their host Sandviken by 4 goals to 3.
Ajara’s goal takes her tally to 11 goals in her last 11 games for club and country.
Picking her moments to laugh last in the 7 goals thriller, Ajara peeled off shoulder of the last defender with a fine run to score the winner in the 70th minutes as Valerenga held to pick up a huge away win.
She is amonsgt the 5 best scorers currently in the Norwegian league and counts 34 goals in the last 12 months, a performance fitting to put her amongst the most performant Africans in that time.

In the same championship, defender Augustine Ejangue Sidiki and her Arno side suffered a devastating 6-1 to Roa defeat away from home.They host Avaldsnes this weekend.

In the second tier Championship, Gabrielle Ngaska helped her team FF La Solana record a 2 nil win over CD San Pio in the opening round of the second tier Championship.
Ngaska scored the first goal of the game in the 30th as her side started the season with a comfortable 2 nil win.
Michaela Abam got her first La Liga Iberdrola goal;
Just like last weekend, Abam started on the bench but was introduced in the 55th minutes of the game. The young Cameroonian came came on in place M. Fedorova with Betis down at home to visiting Deportivo La Corunna by 2 goals to 1 at home.
Betis’ woes increased a minutes after Abam’s introduction as Ainize Barea got her second and Deportivo’s third goal for the day.
Deportivo killed their host chance of getting something from the fixture when G. Garcia hammered in her second of the afternoon and the visitors fourth goal.
Cameroonian Abam got the final goal of the day with a 94th minute strike as the game finished on a 4-3 score in favour of the visitors.
The result means Abam’s Betis is still to get a point from their opening two league games this season,they travel to Espagnol Barcelona next weekend.
Abam has taken just 2 games to open her goal account for her new club as she continues to enhance her reputation as one of the most efficient strikers coming through from Africa.

Falone Mefoumetto and FC Fleury found themselves in the wrong environment in match-day 3 of the League 1 championship. Record French Ligue 1 champions Olympique Lyonnais Feminine punished FC Fleury by 6 goals to zero with Mefoumetto on the pitch.
It has been a difficult start of the season for Mefoumettou as her club is still to have a point after 3 outings.

Still in the top flight championship, Dijon of Marie Aurelle Awona were defeated by PSG.

Farida Machia and Braga her SC Braga Feminino team mates accepted a 2-1 defeat to their host Sporting CP on Monday in the opening round of the Portuguese Boavista championship.
Machia came in as a late substitute in the game but could not rescue anything for her side as they were defeated on a 2-1 score at full time.
Gabrielle Aboudi is flying with CSKA;
Her CSKA Moscow side still leads in the Russian top flight championship with 48 points. Last weekend, Aboudi helped CSKA inflict a 2 nil defeat over Zvezda 2005 and on Tuesday host Chertanovo in day 17 of the local championship.
