Cameroon Elite One championship franchise Cotonsport of Garoua have acquired the services of 20-year-old potential Indomitable Lions of Cameroon forward Lionel Abate Etoundi.
The former AS Fortuna hitman returns home from Serbian second-tier side OFK Žarkovo.
Abate has been out of work since leaving OFK in July last year after his contract was terminated by mutual consent.
The former Under-20 Lions forward has penned a contract of an unspecified duration for an undisclosed fee.
Abate scored 20 goals for Fortuna in their 2016-2017 promotion campaign, he won the golden boot that season helping his Club to the top-flight reach Championship.
Cotonsport are strengthening their squad for the 2020-2021 season and Abate becomes their 19th signing of the window.
The Cotonites are preparing for the three competitions viz; the Cup of Cameroon, the Cameroon Elite One championship and the CAF Confederation Cup with the quest of ending their strange two-year trophy drought.
