One of the players concerned who pleaded anonymous said their decision is fuelled by multiple failed promises by management.

A few players spoke with say the club owes them salary for a month and accumulated bonuses, attempts to get management comment has been fruitless, understably because the club is preparing for an important game this Saturday in Limbe.

Lion Blessé got relegated to the second tier of Cameroon Football in 2016 and have since then experienced a change in management.President Mbassi Adolphe’s team came close to their return to the top flight last season after finishing 6th and also playing the final of the Cup of Cameroon.
