Potential indomitable Lions of Cameroon midfielder Tristan Dingome put up a great display again though his Club Troyes suffered a defeat on Saturday evening away to Lille at the Stade Pierre Mauroy.
Dingome who recorded two assist in his previous game on Wednesday was again at the heart of a great start to the game.
The newly-promoted French Ligue 1 side came into the game in the back of Wednesday’s 2-0 win at Lorient.
The visitors were ahead as early as the sixth minute as their experienced uncapped Cameroon midfielder Dingome scored the opener to conclude the early dominance from Troyes.
The visitors kept the lead till the break but unfortunately had a second-half to forget.
Canadian forward Jonathan Christian leveled for the host in the 48th minute and a late own goal from French defender Jimmy Giraudon barely five minutes from time settled the Match-Day 17 fixture.
Dingome was booked and replaced in the 59th minute of the game before his club conceded the second goal.
The 2-1 defeat amounts to a ninth loss for the newcomers who are just out of the drop zone on the 15th spot.
The goal was Dingome’s second in ten appearances this season as he continues to display his class on return to the French Ligue 1 championship. He has also provide four assist.
The midfielder who has continued his brilliant display on return to the Top-flight.
Troyes will face Bordeaux of Jean Emile Onana in Match-Day 18 of the Ligue 1 championship on Sunday, in a game that will mark the clash of two Cameroon-descent midfielders.
Dingome remains uncapped for Cameroon. He recieved an invitation during the country’s preparation for the 2019 AFCON tournament in Egypt, but was later dropped due to an injury.
