Nigerian 16-year-old midfielder, Lesley Ugochukwu has completed his first professional contract with the French side, Rennes. www.kick442.com can report.
The contract was confirmed on the club’s official website on Wednesday, July 1, 2020.
Lesley Ugochukwu became the first player of the club’s 2004 generation to sign his first professional contract with Stade Rennais FC.
“This signature in my training club represents a lot. It is a pride for me who has been there since the U9 category. I am really enthusiastic even if this signature is only one step. Now it’s up to me to work hard to be able to join the pro group. Last season was special for me because I had an injury that kept me off the pitch for quite a while. I knew how to take my pain patiently. Now I can’t wait to get back on track and prove that I deserve what’s happening to me today.” Lesley’s reaction after his first contract as captured on the club’s official website.
After the recent signatures of Adrien Truffert, Warmed Omari, and Junior Kadile, it is the turn of Lesley Ugochukwu, 16, to sign a professional contract with Stade Rennais FC. The midfield has played for Rennes from U9.
Lesley’s first contract will see him stay at Rennes until 2023.
