Cameroon Elite Two outfit Leopard Sportif of Douala have confirmed the decision to have Theophile Feunku as head coach for the 2020-2021 season.
A Club statement on Thursday, September 10 confirmed the decision and made public a handful of persons to join him in the fight for the Club’s desire to have a better season.
Coaches Mathurin Ewane and Toure have been made his deputies in the job. While celebrated retired Indomitable Lions of Cameroon player Ndoumbe Lea François is the technical director.
Theophile is no stranger to the Club. He was in charge of Leopard Sportif in the same role last season.
The Littoral-based outfit are currently preparing for their third season in the current dispensation of the Cameroon Elite Two championship. Having impressed and struggled in their first two seasons respectively in the competition.
The ‘Bana Njoh’ as the Club is popularly known are currently undergoing a face-lift and have appointed popular Cameroon artists Ben Decca as general manager to lead that revolution and rebranding process.
Leopard of Douala will be one of at least 12 Clubs in competition for places available for promotion to the top-flight Championship when the new season gets underway in October or thereabout.
