Hon. Joseph Yamin has describe clubs demand for support from the government as legitimate but wrong timing.
According to the former deputy Minister of youth and sports, clubs may have point in demanding for support from government in this crucial moment but the timing is wrong.
He believes they (the clubs) are not the only private entities which have been affected by the outbreak of the corona virus.
“Well, they may have a point but not entirely or totally because they are not the only business going down financially at this crucial times.
A lot of businesses both big and small ones alike are suffering so their demands at this time can’t materialised”.
Hon. Yamin further explained that, at this moment, football and football people are not the priority of government because there other pressing needs than that of football.
“At this time, they’re simply not the government’s priority as the health centres are even struggling to get isolation centres and PPEs to work with.
They’re right to demand for help but the time is simply not right”. Hon. added
Hon. Joseph Yamin made this reaction in an interview with Ezra FM hosted by Ember Power.
Ghana’s sporting activities are at the standstill due to the outbreak of the corona virus.
