Indomitable Lions of Cameroon and Al-Taawoun forward Léandre Kana Tawamba was amongst the goals for Saudi Pro league side Al-Taawoun this Saturday.
The 31-year-old forward scored and assisted as his side picked up an impressive three-nil win away at Al-Ahli.
The full-time scores may appear it was easy though it wasn’t as it took up to 30 minutes before Al-Taawoun to find a breakthrough.
Abdoulaye Sané gave the visitors a deserved lead in the 30th minute off an assist from Léandre Kana Tawamba.
The visitors won’t slow down after the lead as barely five minutes later Abdullah Al-Jouei made it two-nil for cruising Al-Taawoun.
Ten minutes later and on the struck of half-time, Léandre Tawamba completed the rout when he scored the third for Al-Taawoun.
The visitors took the lead to the break.
Upon resumption for the second segment, Al Ahli improved but were only able to limit the damage as they prevented Al-Taawoun from adding to the three goals.
The match-day 11 game ended on a three-nil score for Tawamba’s Tawoon who move up to 6th on the log with 17 points.
They host Al-Raed of Arnaud Djoum in their next fixture on Saturday, January 9.
Tawamba has scored twice and provided one assist in eight games this season.
