Indomitable of Lions Cameroon and Al-Tawoon forward Leandre Kana Tawamba was the star again on Thursday evening as his side picked up a point at home to Al-Batin.
Al-Tawoon recorded a disappointing 2-2 draw as the host gave away a two-goals advantage Tawamba had given them in the first segment.
A 6th minute strike from the ‘big’ Cameroonian was followed by another goal on the struck of half-time as the host looked to be cruising to a win at the break.
Somehow Al-Tawoon conceded two late second-half goals from Fábio Gonçalves Abreu in the 77th minute and 84th minute from 23-year old Yousef Al Shammari who leveled scores.
There wasn’t another goal till full-time thus forcing Al-Tawoon to settle for a point in a fixture whose result can be considered as two points dropped at home.
Tawamba has scored 11 goals and assisted twice in 20 appearances in all competitions this season.
Patrice Carteron’s Al-Tawoon is fifth on the log with 32 points from 22 games ahead of their match-day 23 game against Abha.
