After representing Le Bleues of France at the just concluded UEFA Women’s Euro 2022 in England where her team reached the semi-final for the first time in the country’s history, French International Griedge Mbock today paid a visit to FECAFOOT President, Samuel Eto’o.
Currently on vacation in Cameroon, her home country, the Lyon defender paid a courtesy visit to the Federation of Cameroon Football (FECAFOOT) President at the Federation headquarters in Tsinga.
Samuel Eto’o and his host spoke at length about Cameroonian football, but also about the career of the Olympique Lyonnais (Lyon) player and semi-finalist with France in the recent Euro in England.
Griedge Mbock did not come empty-handed. She offered a jersey from her club Olympique Lyonnais to the President of the Cameroon Football Federation.
Samuel Eto’o in return gave him an Indomitable Lions jersey autographed by himself.
Griedge Mbock scored six goals with two assists as Lyon won the 2021/2022 French D1 Arkema title.
She also scored a goal as her French side reclaimed the 2021/2022 UEFA Women’s Champions League (UWCL) title defeating Asisat Oshoala’s FC Barcelona in the final.
Mbock scored a goal in three games as France reached the semi-final of the UEFA Women’s Euro 2022, losing 2-1 to eight-time Champions, Germany.
