Egyptian second tier Championship side Bank of El Ahly have acquired the services of 28-year-old Cameroonian forward Landry Ntankeu.
The former TP Mazembe forward joins the Club as a free agent on a one-year-deal.
The experienced forward had been out of work since leaving Algerian side Hussein Dey last year with speculations linking him to a handful of Clubs before his recent move.
His recruitment is an indication of the intentions of the Egyptian who can realistically target and achieve promotion in the future looking at the quality of players recruited this window.
It is Ntankeu’s first stop in Egypt and he brings a wealth of experience in the game having played in not less than four countries and seven Clubs from 2012.
The former New Stars of Douala and Progresso of Luanda goal poacher becomes the second Cameroonian practicing football on Egyptian soils for the 2020-2021 season, joining Jonathan Ngwem II Joseph of Premier League outfit El Gounah.
Ntankeu has also represented Angolan side Caala and ASM Oran of Algeria.
