Didier Lamkel Ze scored his side’s lone goal as Royal Antwerp lost by 3-1 to Club Brugge in this Wednesday’s of the Belgian cup fixture.

Cameroon duo Martin Hongla and Didier Lamkel Ze started the game for visiting Antwerp.

The attacking efforts from both sides in the first half failed to produce a goal though the teams showed the intent to score.

The sides returned to the pitch for the second segment with determination to sort their issue of poor finishing.

Vanaken put the host ahead in the 49th minute of the game.

Bas Dost then doubled the lead in the 80th minute with Club Brugge cruising to another win.

Lamkel Ze halfed the deficit in the 83rd minutes making it 2-1 with seven minutes of regular time left.

Two minutes later, R Vormer restored the two goals cushion in favor of Club Brugge.

The game ended on a 3-1 score in favor of Club Brugge who advanced to the next round of the cup.

Antwerp are second-seeded in the championship with 46 points after 26 games this season.

They are on the route against Standard Liege of Fai Collins in the weekend.
