The Lagos based Club suffered a 5-0 defeat to Remo Stars U-16 boys in their first friendly match at Remo Stars stadium, Ikenne, Ogun State on Saturday in preparation for the 2021 Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Nationwide.

Ebunoluwa David capitalised on a one-on-one chance with Lakeside Queens’ goalkeeper to score the first goal of the game.
He doubled Remo Stars U-16 boys’ lead when he tapped into an empty net after Lakeside Queens’ defenders failed to clear the ball inside the box.
Roqeeb Ajibode scored the third goal before half-time off a defensive error by Lakeside Queens.
After the interval, Lakeside Queens increased its momentum.
John Dorcas hit the upright while Bolu Okesola’s one on one chance with the goalkeeper was not well converted.
Ayomide Adetunji made it 4-0 for Remo Stars U-16 boys before Roqeeb Ajibode scored his second goal of the game.
Lakeside Queens’ captain, Ezekiel Motunrayo after the game says the team needs to improve their midfield play for them to score more goals at the NWFL Nationwide.
“We played a good side and tried our best today but were unlucky with the chances that we created. They are boys and showed us that with their performance. We need to work on our midfield ahead of the NWFL Nationwide League so that we can get goals. For the Nationwide League, we are ready for the tournament. We will prove our fans right that we can promote to the Championship.” She told www.kick442.com.
Lakeside Queens will play at the Dipo Dina International Stadium centre, Ijebu Ode, Ogun State for their NWFL Nationwide season alongside the likes of Moje Queens, Prince Kazeem Eletu FC, Unification Queens, Oasis Ladies FC, Omidiran Babes, Royaltoms Queens FC, Aseyori Queens, Danaz Queens FC, Ekiti Queens FC, FC Phoenix, and Papa Soccer FC.
