Indomitable Lions of Cameroon midfielder Pierre Kunde Malong has returned positive results from the routine Covid-19 test ran by players of German Bundesliga side Mainz 05.
25-year-old native of Limbe in the Southwest Region of Cameroon has been out of his Club’s squad for preparations matched and their latest Bundesliga games.
This weekend German outlet Bild is reporting that Kunde has tested positive for the Corona Virus.
The player is currently getting medical attention in isolation with the full attention of the medical team of the Club.
Kunde has been very active in the fight against the Corona Virus pandemic especially back in Cameroon where he has made material donations to support over 20 institutions.
He joins a long-list of Cameroonian footballers that have tested positive of the Corona Virus since its outbreak early this year.
Njie Clinton, Bryan Mbeumo, Christian Bassogog and most recently Jerome Onguene have all tested positive of the virus recovered and resume duty as usual.
