Cameroon international Pierre Kunde Malong has marked his 50th Bundesliga appearance with a goal this Sunday as Mainz came from behind to fetch a point away at Koln.
The former Best Stars midfielder displayed his skills again as his side Mainz were made to labour for a point coming from two nil down.
Mainz started the game in the worse possible fashion conceding in the 6th minutes through Mark Uth.
The goal put the home in an ideal position to make life difficult for visiting Mainz.
Florian Kainz doubled Koln’s lead in the 51st minutes but Mainz and Kunde kept on pressing in an entertaining game all along.
The introduction of Liverpool loanee Taiwo Awoniyi in place of Dong Ji in the 56th minutes brought new life into the boys of coach Achim Beierlorzer.
Five minutes upon his introduction, Taiwo benefitted from an assist from Riddle Baku to pull one back for Mainz.
The Cameroon international scored the goal of the game in the 72nd minutes when he picked the ball dribbled passed three opponents before toe poking it into the far corner of Timo Horn’s.

Danny Latza came on in place of the midfielder with 7 minutes of the game left.
Though with chances few in the last minute, the game stayed at 2-2 till full time.
The milestone game remains a memorable one for the ex Athletico man giving he scored his third goal of the season.
The 24-year-old has featured in 21 of his club’s 26 games this term.
