President Kome Max of Cameroon first-tier side Dragon FC of Yaounde has hit the headlines once more for all the wrong reasons. This week, he sent a message threatening to liberate players who ask for money of any sort.

From reports, Dragon FC of Yaounde players were supposed to resume training session on Thursday 26, but a multitude of the players refused to show up due to accumulated salaries, match bonuses and unpaid sign-on benefits.

As a reaction to the action, the president sent a message to the phones of all the players that was made public by Parfait Ngoumou, a member of SYNAFOC: “hello everyone.

For those who did not understand my question, I asked those willing to get voluntary departures- to notify me so I issue their release letter to them, I am explaining so I can be well understood:

I am ready to release all the players who have been involved during the first 15 games.

I have already asked Heny Belle and Essa Tina to leave and I will deliver their release letters to them tomorrow.

I still ask the question, are there any who wants to leave voluntarily? ”

President Kome Max has not covered himself in glory with the poor outings to his players above. It is not long ago that he had that astonishing rant against his current head coach Francois Ngoumou in a League 1 game in Dschang. That is still staring at him right on his face, weeks after he has come up with another episode of the “media horror movie” for his club.

From an off microphone discussions with his close collaborators, the president is yet to fulfill 20 percent of his financial commitments with newcomers and old guards of the club.

Before the traditional Christmas break Dragon FC was placed in the mid-table on 9th with 20 points from 15 games.
