Confluence Queens qualified for the Super 4 last season for the first time in the club’s history. Coach Ogbonda Whyte’s tutored side got to the final only to narrowly lose 1-0 to eventual champions, Rivers Angels. Minutes to the end of the final, Confluence Queens’ Midfielder, Adoo Yina almost took the game to extra time, but her effort was fantastically saved by Super Falcons Goalie, Chiamaka Nnadozie.
Next season will be Adoo Yina’s third season with the Kogi based club after playing for Invincible Angels and Tokas Queens. She scored three (3) goals and also made three (3) assists for her teammates last season as Confluence Queens has their best season in the league with a second-place finish.
The Nigeria Under 17 Ladies (Flamingos) player will be a key and crucial player for Confluence Queens come next season as they hope to win the Nigeria Women Football League, NWFL Premiership for the first time in the club’s history.
