Ivorian Premier League outfit FC San Pedro have completed the signing of 23-year-old Cameroonian forward Alphonse Kevin Assiga on a one-year deal.
The Club announced the signing of the intermediate Lions of Cameroon forward on Saturday evening after reaching a transfer agreement with his previous Club Canon Sportive of Yaoundé-Cameroon.
Considered one of the hottest property in the Cameroon market for the 10 goals scored and four assists provided in 22 games last term in the Cameroon domestic championship, Assiga had multiple options but settled on the switch to the Ivory Coast.
“New adventure, new goals! Happy and proud to be part of the San Pedro project. We are in full preparation for CAF Confederation Cup, I hope that we will go as far as possible. On a personal level, I am discovering a new life, a new culture, necessarily the mentalities are not the same! I will have to adapt as soon as possible and be efficient,” Assiga told kick442.com.
FC San Pedro are one of the most popular and ambitious teams in Ivory Coast with a free flowing football culture which matches Assiga’s game style.
The player is expected to join the rest of his Club colleagues in training from next week and make a telling impact when the new season gets underway later this year.
