Zambian Premier League outfit Zesco United FC have agreed a two-year pre-contract with double Zambia Super League winner Kelvin Kampamba.

The lethal finisher switches from rivals Nkana where he won the domestic title last season to the eight-times.

A statement from the Club’s technical director Peter Mutale confirmed the move.

“Kampamba has signed a pre-contract agreement with Zesco United after agreement of personal terms with the Club. The contract will take effect from 1st January, 2021,” the statement read.

Noted for his versatile play-style and ability to adapt to different roles, the director Mutale opines that the player risk being a telling addition to their squad.

” Kelvin will brings a new dimension in the midfield, especially with his creativity. Our aim is to sign quality players because its only quality that can bring success,” he continued.

It has been a busy window for CAF Confederation Cup-bound Zesco United FC with the likes of Ching’Andu, Kamusoko and Tafadzwa in view of the competitions in the 2020-2021 season.

Kampamba, the 23-year-old new-recruit has delivered his his first words as a TeamYaziko player.

“Our fans should expect more goals and assist from me” were the first words of the the ex-Lime Hotspurs forward.

The Zambian international came through the ranks of Mishesi Blue Stars Soccer Academy in Kitwe but has established a great reputation as a great in the East African nation, featuring for the national selection in as many games.
