Keita Balde Know’s the veteran striker so well, especially as he mastered the art of kicking a leather ball in the La Masia (Barcelona academy) while Eto’o was already scoring goals for fun with the senior team.
The 24-year-old is seen as the next big thing for the Teranga Lions of Senegal, and it is incredible to know that Eto’o is his idol despite a flamboyant list of former players to have dawned the jersey of the Teranga lions: Khalilou Fadiga, Aliou Cisse, and El Hadji Diouf, who on their playing days could make opponents feel dizzy.
Much is already expected from the tall, lightening-quick Internazionalle forward who has already been a journey-man (played for 3 senior clubs), aged 24.
The standout club and stint for the lad to have shown just a glimmer of what he was capable of doing, was from 2013-2017 with Serie A side, Lazio before his Monaco move proved an unhappy one, the reason why Italian giants Inter Milan took to the bank for his services. It is difficult finding game time for the lad given the experience of players like Antonio Candreva and Ivan Perisic at the wings, but a 24-year-old who has over 38 club career goals ; four of them coming with his present club, and four goals for Senegal_perhaps shows that Keita Balde should be handed more minutes.
