Uganda Money bags giants, Kampala Queens have today afternoon again carried the whole nation at stake after completing the signature of the golden and eventually Uganda’s best women footballer Hasifah Nassuna.
Nassuna joins the Queens of Soccer from UCU lady Cardinals to complete the puzzle as the kabojja-based club continues to show their dream to lift this season’s Fufa Women Super League.
A lot of rumours and tales have been on in the past weeks, with Kampala Queens signing the best in the market and everyone speculating Nassuna’s move was the missing piece to the dream project.
Hasifa’s move leaves a lot of questions as to what next for the sides in the league, as Kampala Queens over the weekend demolished newcomers Asubo Gafford in a 5-0 win.
Nassuna, this year alone guided Crested Cranes to the Cecafa Women Championship in June as a captain, was a joint scorer in the league last season on 15 goals, participated in WAFCON, and reached the 100 goal league mark in history.
She joins summer Signings Asia Nakibuuka, Teddy Najjuma, Sumaya Komuntale, Elizabeth Nakigozi, Grace Aluka, and Custodian Daisy Nakaziro and her move makes her the 9th player on the Squad from the Queens of Soccer that featured at WAFCON, Morocco.
The heat in the FWSL is already high, as Kampala Queens visit reigning Champions She Corporate over the weekend on Sunday 25th September in an early derby of the season in what could be the decider of the 2022/23 FWSL in early stages.
