Reigning French Champions Paris Saint-Germain might not sign highly desired Senegalese international defender Kalidou Koulibaly this summer from Napoli.
According to reports from Le Parisien, the 28-year-old former Metz defender is judged to be too expensive by PSG.
Napoli’s President Aurelio De Laurentiis has set a “non negotiable” price of €100 million on the defender and PSG judge that to be too much despite their keen interest in the former Genk player’s services.
He is now closer to a move to England, where Manchester United, Liverpool and the new rich boys on the land Newcastle United are battling for his signature.
The native of Saint-Dié-des-Vosges, France, joint Napoli in 2014 from Genk and his current contract runs until June 2023.
He has gone on to make 173 league appearances for the Azzurri, scoring 10 goals and is considered as one of the pillars in Gennaro Gattuso’s team.
This season, he has had a long spell on the sidelines due to injury, but still featured in 21 games across all competitions.
