The signings keep flowing in every day at Vipers SC although this time around, it’s the technical bench that has been boosted with the arrival of Paul Kiwanuka as assistant coach.
Kiwanuka who has been the head coach at Bright Stars but had earlier on been Fred Kajoba’s assistant for the period the Uganda Cranes goalkeeper coach was in charge of the 2019 Uganda cup finalists will put pen to paper on a two-year deal.
Football256 had earlier on hinted on the move although it’s believed Bright Stars had shown interest in retaining Kiwanuka’s services which evidently hasn’t happened.
Kiwanuka joins the four-time league champions at a critical moment of trying to become the second Ugandan club to play in the group stages of the CAF Champions League, a feat they’ve failed to achieve in three attempts.
The signings of Disan Galiwango, Ibrahim Orit and Jamil Kaliisa are just a few of many to come as Kajoba continues to balance all departments ahead of next season.
The Uganda Premier League 2020/2021 season is scheduled to begin on October 17, 2020, although currently, FUFA is pushing the clubs PRO agenda where all top-flight clubs are required to meet the minimum requirements to play in the league.
