French Ligue 1 outfit FC Nantes, this Tuesday announced the contract extension of their offensive midfielder Kader Bamba.
The 26-year-old potential Ivorian international signed a two-year contract extension and is now tied to the Loire-Atlantique club till June 2024.
“I am evidently very happy to extend my contract with FC Nantes! I wish to thank the management and staff of the club for their confidence in me,” Bamba said on Nantes official website.
“I was able to make my big debut in the French Ligue 1 this season and I can’t wait to reunite with my teammates and the supporters for the upcoming season. Common Nantes!”
He came through the ranks of Toulouse and Sedan and went on to play for Cosmo Taverny and Le Mans before joining Nantes’ Reserves in 2018 and break into their first team in the 2019-2020 season.
In the 2019-2020 season, Bamba featured in 30 games across all competitions for Nantes, 27 of them in the French Ligue 1, with one goal to his name.
Abdoul Kader Bamba was born in Sarcelles, France to Ivorian parents, which means he can still play for the Elephants Côte d’Ivoire, since he has never played for the senior French national team.
