Kada Kings of Kaduna State were crowned champions of the volleyball national division 1 league in the men’s division at the indoor hall of Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja on Saturday
The Kings amassed 44 points at the end of the second phase of the competition topping the log ahead of Kwara United and Wikki Spikers.
Kada had lost on the last day of the tournament to Kwara United 3-2 (25-13, 26-24, 21-25, 21-25, 13-15), win which took United to second in the log after Wikki lost to Spartans.
The two teams, the Kings and United hence have been promoted to the next season of the Nigeria Volleyball League by virtue of their positions on the final table.
Meanwhile, Kwara United were crowned champions in the women’s category while Zamfara Babes placed second at the Division League which ended on Saturday.
Kada Kings went home with the sum of 400,000 naira, Kwara United with 300,000 naira while Wikki Spikers carted away with 250,000 naira in the men’s category.
In the women’s category, Kwara State won 3000,00 naira while second place Zamfara Babes went home with 250,000 naira.
