Azur Star Academy forward Steve Regis Mvoue has confirmed to that he has received the invitation to join the senior National team of Cameroon in preparation for the 2019 AFCON.

This comes after a tweet from FECAFOOT official Twitter account published 3 names viz;midfielder Steve Mvoue Regis of Azur Star,Stade Brestois defender Jean Charles Castelletto of Brest and Stade Reims midfielder Tristan Dingome.

17 year old Cameroonian Midfield accelerator Mvoue Steve Regis was named the best player in the just ended Under 17 AFCON in Tanzania.

The developing genuis Midfielder was picked for the award following an excellent performance in different roles for Cameroon over the course of the tournament.

The Azur FC wonderkid featured in 4 of Cameroon’s 5 games in the Under 17 tournament as he displayed the natural potentials inherited from his mother who was once captain of the Women’s team of Cameroon.

Mostly operating as an attacking Midfielder,Mvoue scored Cameroon’s first goal in the competition and captain his nation in the final after adding two assist to his goal en route to the final.

Man of the match for his goal and assists against Guinea in the opening group game.

Mvoue enjoyed 358 minutes of football in the competition.He won the top scorer award in the Under 17 AFCON Qualifiers tournament last year in Equatorial Guinea and been named in the team of the tournament in the 2019 FERWAFA & BINEWA Sports Management tournament in Rwanda.

In addition to Mvoue Castelletto is returning to the den after an excellent Season with Stade Brestois while Tristan Dingome is joining the team for the first time.

Clarence Seedorf now have 37 players to pick 23 for Cameroon’s AFCON title defence in Egypt.
