The Belgian Jupiler Pro League resumed on Saturday, August 8th 2020 with a set of interesting fixtures.

The Royal Antwerp versus Royal Mouscron 1-1 draw in the opening weekend was an ideal fixture to market the Belgian championship in Cameroon.

Five out of possibly six Cameroonians related to the two Clubs were included in the Match-day squad, but only four of them featured in the game.

Junior Onana in action for LOSC Lille

Junior Onana and Serge Tabekou Ouambe of Royal Mouscron made their competitive debut for the Club. Onana who is on loan from Lille started the game just like Martin Hlonga of Royal Antwerp while Tabekou, newly-signed from La Gantoise came off the bench in the second segment as his opposition forward Didier Lamkel Ze of Royal Antwerp.

In all, it was an exciting game.
Lior Refaelov scored a 49th minute penalty to put the host in front but visiting Royal Mouscron replied in the 78th minute through substitute Marko Bakić.

Both sides failed to score in the final 12 minutes and Royal Antwerp didn’t introduce Franck Boya leaving the full-time score at 1-1.

Fabrice Olinga of Royal Mouscron was not in the match day squad.

Antwerp travel to challenge Club Brugge in Match-day two on Sunday while Mouscron host Mechelen on Friday.
