Cameroonian forward, Junior Atemengue Awono, 25, formerly of TKC, Renaissance, USD and Apejes is currently playing football with his club Energetik – BGU in the Belarusian top-tier, despite the widespread of the CoronaVirus.
Junior Atemengue’s Energetik – BGU won Ruh Brest by a slender victory on match day 2 of the Belarusian league.
Despite Atemengue not having scored on the day, he put in a shift for most parts of the game before getting a breather in the second half when coach Belyavskiy made the decision hold his one – nil lead.
The Cameroonian and his team are placed second on the log, with 6 points, level on points with top of the table Minsk.
On Sunday, April 5, Energetik – BGU from the road will welcome first placed Minsk in what might be a decisive title clash in the early days of the league.
The Belarusian league is the only European league currently ongoing in this era of the CoronaVirus, where a great deal of Europeans have quarantined citizens to keep the CoronaVirus in spread in check.
