kick442.com has been reliably informed that the delegation of the Kenya women’s Volleyball team will leave Nairobi for Cameroon on Friday morning at 8 AM for Yaounde, Cameroon.
The most successful nation in the discipline will travel via Kenya Airways and arrive Nsimalen-Yaounde by 11 AM.
The girls of coach Bitok have a tough task to better all nations in the competition including host and 2016 representatives of the continent, Cameroon in the qualifiers if they must return to the Olympic games village.
Kenya has been out of the Olympic games in the discipline since Athens 2004.
The 2020 games in Tokyo will be the platform for the East African nation to end their stay out of the games should they finish champions in Cameroon.
Kenya and Cameroon enter these qualifiers as the favorites to many bookmakers.
Injury has forced Trizah Atuka out of the competition.
Janet Wanja is also out of the traveling party for the first time in decades.
The 35-year-old spiker has retired from the game after 16 years in the National team.
She was a part of the last Kenya squad at the tournament.
Kenya opens their competition against Egypt on Sunday, January 5 and follows that up with a clash against Botswana, Cameroon and Nigeria.
