Former Indomitable Lions of Cameroon goalkeeper Joseph-Antoine Bell has exclusively described late Philippe Redon as a coach who managed his players with great honesty.
The French coach who took charge of Cameroon between 1991-1992 passed on to eternity this Tuesday in France aged 69.
Fans of the indomitable Lions still remember the French gaffer for his astute management style and his remarkable run with the Cameroon team that finished fourth in the 1992 AFCON tournament in Senegal.
Speaking about his time with the gaffer legend Joseph-Antoine Bell had nothing but praises for his former coach.
“He was a good coach, good guy and good friend. He knew football, managed his squad well and loved his players. I think the players knew this and were devoted to him and worked with him with respect”.
Bell told kick442.com.
Redon was one of the many coaches Bell Joseph Antoine worked under in his time as goalkeeper of the Cameroon national selection.
The Stade Rennes legend also managed RC Lens, US Creteil and the Liberia national team in his post footballer career.
