Young Boys Bern of Cameroon trio Jordan Siebatcheu Theo, Jean-Pierre Nsame and Nicolas Moumie Ngamaleu recorded a narrow 2-1 win against rivals St Gallen on Tuesday in a Swiss Cup game.
Goals from Cameroon-eligible forward Jordan Theo Siebatcheu who was deputizing for suspended Jean-Pierre Nsame made the difference.
In the absence of Club lead forward Nsame, Ngamaleu partnered Siebatcheu upfront.
Both sides failed to create a real chance in the first segment of the game but the visitors Young Boys Bern enjoyed a greater share of possession.
Jordan Siebatcheu was booked in the 62nd minute.
The forward then scored twice in four minutes first off an assist from Christian Fassnacht in the 68th minute and four minutes later from an Elia Mesack assist.
Five minutes later, Ngamaleu was replaced by Fabian Rieder with Young Boys needing more energy in the middle of the park.
The host halfed the deficit in the 83rd minute but couldn’t complete the comeback as the game ended on a 2-1 score in favor of visiting Young Boys Bern who advance to the next stage of the competition.
