Burkinabe striker Beninwende Yann Jonathan Pitroipa has retired from football. The 34-year-old winger who played for Paris FC has decided to quit the beautiful game.
Jonathan Pitroipa leaves his football career after touring a series of clubs in Germany, France, UAE, Belgium.
He launched his football page with Planete Champion in 2004. In his senior career he featured for SC Freiburg, Hamburger SV, Rennes, Al Jazira Club, Al-Nasr, Antwerp and Paris FC
The Burkinabe striker represented his country Burkina Faso beginning 2006–2019, making 82 appearances and scored 19 goals.
Born on April 12, 1986, in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, Jonathan Pitroipa made his highest number of appearances with club between 2004-2008, with German side SC Freiburg (75) and country (82).
He was also amongst CAF’s Africa’s finest XI and quits football with a total of 79 goals.
Since 2006, he has featured at the 2010, 2012 and 2013 editions of the African Cup of Nations, scoring two goals in the 2013 tournament as Burkina Faso reached the final. He was also chosen the Player of the Tournament.
