Indomitable of Lions Cameroon and Nippon Avispa Fukuoka forward John Mary came off the bench to score in his side’s 2-0 win in this weekend’s J League fixture pitting his side against Urawa Reds.
The striker on loan from Shenzhen FC started the cup game on the bench but was introduced in the 82nd minute with his side leading by one goal to nil thanks to Brazilian forward Bruno Mendes.
Barely four minutes after the introduction, the big Cameroonian benefitted from an assist from T Shichi to score a superb half volley that warmed the gloves goalkeeper Shusaku Nishikawa before dropping into the net.
Nippon Avispa Fukuoka FC laughed last as John Mary was the last of the game, leaving the match-day 13 fixture on a 2-0 score at full-time.
John Mary counts two goals in two game for the Japanese Club this season.
The former AS Fortuna forward was recently cleared by FIFA to represent his country Cameroon after the Cameroon Football Federation asked for that formality to be completed before his competitive debut for the five times African champions.
