The Taifa Stars of Tanzania will welcome their skipper John Bocco will return to action on Saturday to skipper his side in their second group game against Namibia on Saturday at the Limbe Omnisport Stadium in Ngeme.
The Simba SC striker missed his side’s opening group game which ended in a defeat against Zambia last Wednesday at the same venue.
The lethal finisher attended Friday’s pre-match presser at the conference hall of the Limbe Omnisport Stadium.
Reacting to questions on the quality of their opponents in the upcoming game, Bocco touched on a handful of things; “We respect our opponent and believe that it’s going to a tough game. As players, we are motivated and are ready to win this game and get our first three points in the competition,” the 31-year-old native of Dar Es Salaam told the press.
The one-time Azam FC forward is a full international for the East African Nation havin made 56 appearances for his country and scored 14 goals dating back from 2009.
Tanzania must beat Namibia who also need a win to keep their hopes of making it out of the group stage alive.
