26-year-old Cameroon forward Joel Tageu posted a picture on social media of himself starting his long journey to fitness with workouts in the gymnasium.
The striker made Cameroon’s final list of 23 but could not take part in the AFCON upon arrival in Egypt, as Cameroon’s team doctor – Pierre William Ngatchou’s suspicion of a cardiac complication turned real. The team doctor’s advice to Tageu was for him to go back to Europe for a surgery and proper treatment.
Barely a month and a half after, the player is having the time of his life currently working his way back to fitness after marrying his longtime Brazilian darling Jessica Tageu in his native Nkongsamba.
Tageu is yet to have a kick of the ball after the horror incident but it is certain that when he joins his teammates on the pitch, he would sure pick up from where he left.
