Indomitable Lions of Cameroon and Liverpool FC defender Joel Djob Matip assisted one of the goals and ensured a clean sheet was achieved in his side’s 7-0 thumping of Crystal Palace on Saturday in match-day 16 of the English Premier League.
Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah both scored a brace and one of Salah’s goals came from an assist by Joel Matip.
Jordan Henderson, Takumi Minamino and Sadio Mane scored the other goals for Liverpool in a perfect display of their title credentials for the current season.
Matip’s assist is his first this season and he has also scored once in his seven games in the English Premier League this campaign.
Liverpool are current leaders of the English Premier League.
The red are five atop of rivals Everton currently five points inferior to Liverpool who are on 31 points to the good so far.
